Online Remote Support
Exciting News
I have finalised a new service for Anyzoom.com which can
provide remote online PC support anywhere in the world. This will allow for
any Windows 2000 or higher PCs to connect to my service and for me to remotely
control the PC in question. It requires an internet connection, broadband
recommended but it can work on dialup, and some software supplied by Anyzoom.com.
We supply you with a 1.3MB size file or a less secure 128KB file from either our FTP support site or I can
email it to you. The file installs some free software specifically configured to
connect directly to my server here at Anyzoom.com. This installation is automated
to provide you with a simple solution that does not require complicated
instructions to get support up and running.
Two icons are provided on the desktop to initiate the Anyzoom Connection and
then Anyzoom (remote) Support. This utilises VPN and VNC technology that produces
a secure tunnel through the internet to our server and then establishes a Remote
Desktop Control session where I can see what is on your PC and take control of
the mouse and keyboard to do the work.
In most cases the firewall problems associated with this type of support are avoided.
The connection is from your PC to my server and avoids typical incoming firewall
restrictions if the connection was from us to your PC. Most software firewalls or
hardware firewalls like ADSL modems using NAT allow outgoing connection which avoids
the need to open ports and fiddle with complicated settings. If you are using ZoneAlarm
then it is just a matter of allowing the software to connect to the internet when asked.
It is as if I was sitting at your PC working with you.
If you would like more information use the contact me
page to send a request and I will arrange
for a demonstration and provide you everything you need to know.
