News:
The current news on this page is almost a year old; it just goes to show how much time I have
spent on my site doesn`t it. With the new connection speed and holidays coming up I am
anticipating a renewed vigour for updating and creating improved web development
for my site during that period.
I hope to provide you with some new content soon. (20-08-2006)
Congratulations to Pathway Engineering for achieving 36th in the top 50 fastest growing companies in NZ.
I am proud to have been a small contributor to the team during the last year
by providing a number of services, while doing my degree. These included Network
development and technical support, Production management consultancy and by writing
the data processing software that Oak Tree Labour Hire, part of the Pathway group, uses on a weekly basis.
The software provides a way for the data to be entered, checked, processed and used
by other accounting and payroll packages for automating the time consuming task of
invoicing and pays. By developing this software we managed to reduce processing time
by up to 16 hours every week!
Pathway Engineering makes aluminium folding chairs under the AlloyFold banner, provides
container devanning under Oak Tree Labour Hire and accommodation support via Motukara
Camp. Pathway Engineering is run by Pathway trust a non profit organisation setup
by Riccarton Community Church. Pathway`s core aim is to help people reach their
potential. They enable people that may otherwise struggle to find work either
due to recent release from prison, long term unemployment or other circumstances.
Oak Tree alone employs 35-40 devanners with a social worker on staff for employee
support and it is still growing. AlloyFold has in the last 12 months shifted its
chair manufacturing over to the USA to meet the demands of the market there.
Good job guys, keep that hard work up.

I have been busy working on assignments for the Degree; report writing is a big requirement so I am developing that skill fast.
I have taken some time out during the heavy workload to do some work on the site as a bit of stress relief as you can see on the right.
